What is energy?

Well, energy is the ability to do work. Energy can be either stored energy (Potential) and Released energy (Chemical). They both differ in different ways. As it is shown in the Figure no. 1.1

What are the different Kinds of Energy?

There are many types of energy that is shown below, and I will discuss one by one

• Sound
• Light
• Heat
• Elastic Potential
• Solar
• Thermal

Sound

It is a form of energy that enables us to hear. Drum, Flute and other instruments are some examples of sound energy

Light

It is a form of energy that enables us to see in the gloomy dark and some examples of this type of energy are firefly, Torch and Sun.

Heat

Heat is energy transferred from an object with a higher temperature to an Object with a lower temperature

Thermal energy

Thermal energy is the total kinetic energy an object has.

Elastic energy

Potential

Elastic Potential energy is the energy when an elastic has been stretched

Kinetic

Elastic kinetic energy is the when the elastic has been released.

Solar Energy

The energy that is produced by the sun.

Solar energy is the best example of Solar energy as shown is Figure no. 1.2.
